Hey guys, I just joined the board and wanted to add to this thread.
I bought the above mentioned Caswell modded 800. It's badass. period.
It's hard to get it to sound right due to all the different pulls and mods he did to it but basically you have a lot of tones once you figure it all out.
Clean, with a seperate clean volume.
Crunch, like a stock 800
Stage 1 mod, where its like a more overdriven 800. Perfect for hard rock rhythm
# 39 and then in the #39 channel you have 2 seperate gain toggles.
My favorite tone is on #39 with the upper gain toggle engaged. It's awesome. It's razor sharp and not fuzzy. With the 2 gain toggles engaged, its closer to Lynch territory but too buzzy for my needs.
The amp is equally great for rhythm as well as playing leads.
