Since its not limited to guitar gear....

Ceramic coated headers and full dual exhaust with Dynomax Ultraflo mufflers

then a new custom ground hydraulic roller cam kit...

For guitar, probably some new tubes for my Wizard (way overdue) and a ldc mic for recording voc's.

110 or 112 degree centerline?
Not really sure....a guy over at the Chevelle forum does custom grinds that put out a ton of power...whatever he thinks is best is good with me! I was going to go with a reg Lunati hydraulic that is 235/235 507 lift on a 107....changed my mind for the roller cam, it should have some pep! :)

You'll be a lot happier with a hydraulic roller, less heat, crazy lift/high rev possibilities. Comp Cams are a great choice, been running them in 429/460 BBFs and have been really happy with them, would really like to put a 557 BBF together for this Factory 5 Cobra project I've been kicking around, but I'll probably stay with the 99 SVT 4.6 block that I've been dusting off for way too many years.
Cool. I ran an older Magnum 292 in a bbc with my first chevelle...that got me in some trouble   They have an XR288HR that I was eyeing last nite. Just recently getting back into the hotrod thing after 15 years, things sure have changed!

I've got a bunch of friends that do Ford stuff...all these new engine designs sure put out the power! Eventually I'd like to swap an LS series or 496 engine in this car.

Do you race yours?

I did, but not where there are any sactioning bodies.

would like to start recording at home been looking at personas project or firebox

i went all last year buying a $20 brass block and a pack of strings. thats it.

this year? nothing again. but working serious come summer - still wont buy anything. college money for next year...

or the year after. or the next 2 years.

but eventually i have plans to put together a $15,000 rack :)

My next move will probably be to rack mount everything and switch to midi. There's some stuff that I wouldn't mind using, but I don't like complex switching (to me, complex means hitting more than one button in a row).

I'm not inclined to buy any new gear this year, besides the standing order I have right now for my 3rd Suhr Modern that I placed back in July, that will hopefully be here by March. For the first time in my life, I feel pretty complete gear-wise. I'd actually love to have another EB/MM Axis one day, but that isn't going to happen until they release one with a flatter fingerboard radius.

I, too, will be buying Logic Studio sometime this year. I don't need (or want) anything right now but I may consider an Anderson Bulldog.

Comp Cams can & will do a custom grind cam for you for $399 if you go through an authorized vendor.. That is all I ever pay anyways.. But you would need some one to spec it out for your set-up though..

The other bullshit you dont have to worry about unless you are going quicker than 11.49 then the b.s. continues at 9.99 & 135mph+ Full 8 point cage required, Window net, fire proof clothes, Neck brace,blah... 9.50's NHRA License & then again at 8.50 different chassis cert..
150 mph Parachute is required..
Then you have to deal with chassis certs every 3 years and a bunch of other bullshit just to run at a NHRA sanctioned track.
Farther you go the more expensive it gets then you hit a wall and dont know if you should stop or not..

a DAR Forza... at least I think it's a DAR Forza! :D

And it's mine. Just gotta wait for Paypal to recive the money from my bank so that I can pay the guy, and then wait for the shipping.

2006 Gibson Les Paul Studio, white, with gold hardware. And the original case. Got a fair share of wear and tear, but that's how I like my guitars. Come to think of it... I don't like new guitars. But that's a whole other story.

Not really gear but I gotta get a flight case for my spare G-System pedalboard. Something in the 36" x 20" range would be perfect.

In the past, I'd give tech support a call and they'd take my car's weight and engine specs into consideration; compression ratio, dome shape, deck height, rocker ratio, spring rates, valve type, as well as transmission type and provide me with grind options for 1/4 mile performance.

has that changed?
I was running a 429 SCJ/Tunnel Ram sporting dual 660 center squirters over a NOS plate system. That was pre-hydraulic roller cam days though.

I do not use them for any type of advice so I do not know.
Most likely the person/tech on the phone is just using their Camquest software to find a cam spec which is already available for free download on their website..
I prefer not to ask or take advice from some one that has not or does not actually race a certain set-up or even actually race something at all.

I can appreciate that; I was always under the impression that they knew their product and were involved with racing. The guys I worked with were older and knew their shit, perhaps that has changed as well.

Not saying they all do not know nothing, but truly the guys there that really know their shit are off doing something more important compared to taking phone calls...

Replace guys who know, with a piece of software, probably how they can sell a cam for the same price they offered it twenty years ago.

Klon, Univibe, and I would really like to concentrate on upgrading everything I have, speakers, pickups, pre-wired pots, cables and so forth instead of buying big expensive stuff,,,then that almost perfect piece comes along   Hey Jake, any Reeves in for this year???
