Ok, so what is your next piece of gear?

It won't be my first piece, but I want to save up and get a Duesentrieb Black Tiger II pre-amp from Olaf.

I might be grabbing some Alesis 5" monitors on the cheap after this weekend. I need to put back money for a Vader 2x15 or Ibanez RGA8.

That is cool man. Show us the finished project when it's done.

Since its not limited to guitar gear....

Ceramic coated headers and full dual exhaust with Dynomax Ultraflo mufflers

then a new custom ground hydraulic roller cam kit...

For guitar, probably some new tubes for my Wizard (way overdue) and a ldc mic for recording voc's.

What are the specs on the custom grind?

I hope I can sell some stuff and maybe get one of those new Charvel So-Cal's :D

I am actually happy with amps, although I could stand to lose a few...

I wouldn't mind getting a rack unit for effects. I use effects like 2% of the time, but it would be cool to have something again like a G Major or GSP1101 or something.

Versatile channel switching amp, maybe look at the MarkV again. I need something for this cover band project that sounds good in smaller clubs(lower volumes) as well as the larger ones.

110 or 112 degree centerline?

Still waiting for my rack gear to arrive, so that doesn't count - it's been decided upon and paid for...

If I was to hazard a guess for this upcoming year?? Maybe a 20thA Shiva, a Herbert, an Einstein... Not sure. Probably some high-end DAW software. Maybe a new ax, Tom Anderson or a top notch Suhr, maybe a vintage Lester (I'm kinda in the market for a mint condie white LPC circa 79'-'82). Vovox cables...

Here ya go, here's the new 'gear' related thing I'm working towards.

A new house. And in this home, a custom designed sound studio. That's really been what I've been working on for the last 1.5 years...and I believe we're moving this year into said home. I kinda forgot, um, this is probably the largest of, um, purchases related to "gear".

Not really sure....a guy over at the Chevelle forum does custom grinds that put out a ton of power...whatever he thinks is best is good with me! I was going to go with a reg Lunati hydraulic that is 235/235 507 lift on a 107....changed my mind for the roller cam, it should have some pep! :)

You'll be a lot happier with a hydraulic roller, less heat, crazy lift/high rev possibilities. Comp Cams are a great choice, been running them in 429/460 BBFs and have been really happy with them, would really like to put a 557 BBF together for this Factory 5 Cobra project I've been kicking around, but I'll probably stay with the 99 SVT 4.6 block that I've been dusting off for way too many years.

Just got a Soldano, but tax time will bring either a Recto or 6505...

Cool. I ran an older Magnum 292 in a bbc with my first chevelle...that got me in some trouble   They have an XR288HR that I was eyeing last nite. Just recently getting back into the hotrod thing after 15 years, things sure have changed!

I've got a bunch of friends that do Ford stuff...all these new engine designs sure put out the power! Eventually I'd like to swap an LS series or 496 engine in this car.

Do you race yours?

If I could find a MIDI-switchable signal router, that would complete my rig.

Then I'll upgrade the hardware for my DAW so I can run SONAR X1.

I'm hoping to sell more than I purchase this year.

Happy 2011!!

Having said that, from AmpFest I really liked the tones of the Reeves and the Ceriatone, so I may pick up one of those this year, and hopefully another Suhr guitar.
