I think most of the people that REALLY dig the Axe are way into the flexibility.

yeah def won't Kill the axe entirely but you can bet it will put a huge dent in some clientelle. I mean already on TGP there is Axe VS Kemper debates and some cats favoring the Kemper. While they are 2 different approaches for sure, the Kemper offers something the Axe, or any other digital modeler has offered to Date, being able to profile amps, whenever you want. That IS a game changer in the approach and technology, as far as basic core tones is concerned. Axe will always have great efx and great sounding stuff, but it won't be able to do what the kemper is doing.
Seems it would just come down to what sounds better. Most people will be downloading profiles for either. How many end users will really be able to have access to all the different amps they may want for the Kempler, and then the access to the cabs and mics and the ability to mic correctly? IMO it will just be which sounds better to the individual, since again, most will simply use profiles done by others.
Yes and I think it already comes with hundreds of profiles. Def will come down to what sounds better. I guess though just the thought of how it works, actually taking the frequency response of a real mic'd cab to generate its sound pallete seems like it would have the heads up, at least in terms of more faithfully mimicking a real amp. That was my biggest issue with the Axe fx, it wasn't open enough. I have yet to play a II...
I know we have peeps on this board with killer setup, that we could only hope the axe would mimick, CCV's, Fortin modded Etc. I DO see an advantage of this, I mean how many versions of Fortin do you see cliff releasing?
