The Diezel VH-4 ch.2 smoked his Bad Boy, and IMO, so does the new Marshall 800 Modified.
It takes to about the 14 minute mark when he finally stops playing with his hair, and does a comparison.

Good comparison. I do prefer his Bad Boy, as he said smooth but aggressive. That said, this was a quick dive so I bet if he did some more tweaking he could get the new Marshall even closer. Glad to see the new Marshalls still getting some pub though.

Please. If he wants a smooth Marshall, get a Friedman. If an amp blows away his Bad Boy, he has a list of excuses ready.
I bet the new 800 can be dialed smoother anyway. His amp is NOT a benchmark. He seems to think so.
When the Diezel destroyed his amp, it was the Preamp tubes. Yeah, ok Count Chocula.

It's really a matter of taste in my opinion. The VH4 should not be compared to a any JCM800, just completely different flavors. In terms of this particular comparison, I may favor the the boosted Marshal Mod Series over the stock 2203 as it seems to present as thicker and rougher around the edges. Without the boost, I really am not a fan of either of these Marshalls.

Once he was going back and forth I preferred the OG with SD-1.

Fat girls need love too.

I still haven't seen one of these new "Modded" amps IRL.

first of it was ch2 (and i agree the VH4 sounded better) and 2ndly i prefer the bad boy here, but in general i don't think i am a fan of the T75s

I favored the Bad Boy, but I'm sure the Modified could be dialed in to eat it's lunch. Bias, tubes, etc., all play a role. I'm sure the bias was ice cold on the Modified from the factory.

Huge Velveeta Strikes Again! The Bad Boy. Tired 80's 800 POS
