Maybe I said the wrong word.

was meaning more dry and articulate and maybe less hairy.
Not sure if I’d use the word hi-fi since my Hiwatt sounds very raw, but yes I do think it’s more articulate, dry and less hairy, although to be fair I find myself mostly playing through the brilliant input. The normal input is more hairy and less focused

Pretty sure this comment was intended for OP.

No I'm not joking. I think that Hiwatt sounds fantastic. He's gotta be running a pedal into it though.

Yeah, I've built a few amps. I'm not really questioning how it's possible. Just thought it was a cool video and I liked that sound, so figured I'd share.

If that’s a newer production HiWatt, it might be straight in..the newer ones have some built in gain.

Cool video. I dig his videos where he breaks down the songs and plays the chords on his piano.

I like those ones too. Really informative.

I'm not keen on the ones where he grumbles about the video not being monetised, or does the whole clickbait-YouTuber thing that seems to be so formulaic across any YouTube channel out to earn some coin for hosting ads. Whenever I see that, I tune out.
