When I finished school back in May, I decided I wanted to start eating better. I used to eat a ton of fast food, junk food, and lots of snacks like chips and cookies and such. I just got sick of all that stuff and wanted to make a change. Well, so far I've lost 40 pounds since the beginning of May and I definitely feel better. I weigh 217 now (down from 257), and I want to eventually get down to about 180-190 or so. I've been eating more or less the same things every day. A bagel with peanut butter, a Lean Pocket, and a glass of V8 Fruit Fusion juice for breakfast and then a 6" roasted chicken sub from Subway with some fruit or yogurt and some water for dinner. I've also really cut down on snacking, especially late at night. If I do eat any snacks now, I just go with some fruit, rice cakes, or cereal bars. I'm sure a lot of people couldn't keep eating the same stuff like that, but unlike gear, I don't get sick of food items quickly.  But anyways, just thought I'd share that.

Are you doing any exercise at all? The odd thing I find is that I don't really lose weight unless I'm doing a good bit of exercise, regardless of what I'm eating.

Great work Mark, I missed this thread the first time around!

About 2 and a half years ago, I got completely fed up with how I looked and felt and changed my entire diet over night, I ate 5 to 6 healthy meals a day of about 400 calories a meal and didn't do much working out and the weight simply fell off. Then about 6 months in I joined a gym and it still kept falling off, but the weight loss was much slower (due to building up muscle).

Make sure you're drinking a ton of water too!

I'd try to bump up the calorie consumption to a maitenance stage and increase the meal frequency and start up with the gym. But a warning, the gym is very addictive!

Use it to your advantage. Keep the shirts, buy a nice pistol, get your CHL, and you're good to go. Never know when the zombies will rise.

Have you changed your diet any Mark? And were you a big soda drinker?

Yeah, I used to eat tones of fast food and junk stuff all the time. I wasn't really a big soda drinker though.

Nice job Mark!!

This is next on my list of things to do. I need to lose 15 lbs and I'll be happy. I'm just lazy as hell. I think I will start with a diet as well. Gotta stop eating junk.

Well done Mark! Keep up the good eating habits and with exercise too you'll feel great! :)

I really need to start exercising more and being more careful with what im eating.. I feel tired all the time, and i think healthy eating and exercise would help.

The problem i have is that i suffer badly with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, so its difficult for me to eat all healthy stuff, because most of the things people would suggest i eat.. usually makes me feel ill in no time after eating it. I cant be ill when i have to be somewhere, or when im having a busy day.. so my actual eating habits turn to crap as im never eating regular meals.

I should have specified... Has your diet changed since you started this thread, or have you gotten sick of all that stuff you were eating when you started your diet?

Badass Bro!

I know it feels freakin' great.

I've cut back to about 750 calories a day, all protein, and have started working out a good 3-4 days a week. I'm down 108 lbs since I started in May, and I feel great. No more blood sugar med, no more blood pressure med.

Keep it up mang
