Other things that burn my ass about Reverb & "Dealers"

Like here, they have a policy that you can't use stock photo's, but it's OK, for "dealers" to be lazy fucks. Yeah, I understand they can't photo a gazillion guitars, but why can't you take pics of a USED ONE?? Why, is it OK to use stock photo's for a B-STOCK?? Wouldn't it be nice to see what the fuck any issues are with it, to save everyone headaches of possibly returning it?? How do you claim "not as advertised", when they post a stock photo??

Also, and this really burns my ass. Dealers that say "in stock", but they drop-ship everything, and they might not actually be in stock! Yes, it happened to me. At the time, (last year), the Reverb rep told me that they don't allow drop-shipping, and it was against the rules?? Things may have changed. But, the asshole that took my money & jacked me around for several days, refunded me, then re-listed it, "IN STOCK". Reverb needs to figure out, they knew about it, but the guy is still chugging along with his "IN STOCK, and stock photos. This same guy DROP-SHIPS B-STOCKS AS WELL! WTF??

Also, a few months back, (and I know others experienced this), I ordered a "BRAND NEW" Engl Fireball 100, (stock photo, of course). What I got, was an obvious floor model that had been demo'd, no manual, not even a power chord, mind you, and received it in a Mesa Boogie box. That's brand new?? I returned it because I didn't really bond with it, and the whole deal stunk. The guy was full of lies about it too, (Axe Palace, who's notorious for this B.S.), and what did they do? Re-listed it, (AS BRAND NEW), after I put 10-15 hours on it. Reverb did nothing, apparently this is acceptable.

Here's the other trend from some dealers. They advertise USED GEAR at NEW PRICE when they participate in the 15% off coupon code deals. Individuals do it too, and some stupid enough to list OVER new price and offer 15% coupon.

Here's a good one.. Been looking at V's, and owned same but an '05. This one is used, with wear and tear, yet I sold mine for $850. He said his is the only "cream" '06 on there, (it's Classic white, technically speaking), and his price is fair due to "supply and demand" WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?

To add, I bought an Apollo Twin MK II used off reverb from a dealer, not an individual, and it arrived today. Happily I opened the box to reveal a used Apollo Twin, original version, not the MK II... but to be fair they are sending me a shipping label to return and get me the MK II. But I was really looking forward to using it this weekend...

Damn, everyone is so salty on RT lately. Must be the weather.

That's likely to be the old "my shipping guy screwed up" routine.

Yeah. Kinda sucks.
When the shit heads move into the neighborhood everyone moves out.

I don't know what to comment here so ill put up a pancake recipe:

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot

No joke. Let's get pissed about everything and bitch. "I got an amp, used it, decided the box was wrong and returned it, so the dealer should lose his ass due to my buyer's remorse over a box." Now the dealer is "notorious for this". Now dealers have to photo 500 guitars so he doesn't have to look at the travesty of a stock photo.

No wonder this forum is a ghost town.

The Axe Palace has a serious history of doing people wrong... check http://www.sevenstring.org (I know you have been banned from there)... or the https://www.thegearpage.net for more info. Do a search. He has far from a spotless record.

Napalmdeath paid for, and thought he purchased a new in box Engl amp. That includes the new amp, power chord, instruction manual, 2 extra preamp tubes from Engl... and the warranty card you are supposed to fill out and send in to Velvet Distribuiton the Engl USA distributor. All these things are supposed to come in the Engl factory box when you buy and pay for a new amp. Not BS, lame excuses, and outright lies. There is zero excuse for this sort of behavior. If I pay for a new product, I expect a new product. Box, manual, warranty, packing material, power chord, everything. Not BS and lame excuses.

If Nick is "your boy" or friend, I could care less. His history of questionable and inexcusable business practices that speak for them self. Cavet Emptor with the Ass Palace. Prospective buyers should do their own research. There are even a few other bad stories posted here on this forum.

Let's be clear before we make assumptions and "bitch". I bought a "new" amp, and received a "used" one. Dealer pulled a fast one, and wouldn't own up to it, and adjust price accordingly, that's why it went back. When it happened, others came forth with the same claims against said dealer, AFTER THE FACT, so there's facts to support it wasn't an isolated incident, nor is it a very professional practice. Don't go off and be a bitch yourself, I'd be curious of your reaction if it happened to you.

Other gripes on used gear and my thoughts are probably ticky-tacky to some, I suppose. But people like yourself, who go off firing insults, make unjustified assumptions without seeing facts, and, for no other reason than just being a dick, could possibly contribute to your "ghost town" assessment as well. People bitch and gripe here regularly, then the pinheads show up and dump gasoline on the fire, for no reason other than to "bitch", yourself. Oh, and dealer "lost his ass"? No, I DID. I ATE SHIPPING BOTH WAYS.

Nick is a great dealer and has been for years. Forum people just like to bitch for no reason most of the time, forgetting there is always two sides to every story. Also, no one is perfect, forums like to forget that.

And if it happened to me? I wouldn't have played the amp for 15 hours, and then used the box as an excuse to justify my buyer's remorse. I would have returned it right away, because of the offensive packaging.

It's time to grow up and stop bitching on a forum about stock pictures and builders not responding in 6.4 minutes, and boxes with the wrong words on them.

Go have some sex or something.

Whining about stock pictures on reverb. Fuck me.

Since YOUR sex life seems to include the Axe Palace, next time you're on your knees with your mouth open, before you "engage," tell him to take care of "Daniel" in Germany who used a $500 store credit for some pedals he never got, and has been ignored for months and blown off for months. Yes, two sides to every story. Axe Palace's, and the truth.

P.S.,They got an email about the amp immediately, since I got no chord to plug the damn thing in! , I don't understand your "buyer's" remorse comment, whatsoever, or builders not responding in 6.4 seconds", either. Atleast I have my facts straight. The only "buyer's remorse" I had, was Axe Palace remorse.

Some buyers are just ripe with aggression, impatience and sarcasm. The unholy trinity of entutled consumer behaviour.
These types just fucking lose it when they feel they were wronged. The will swear, lambast and smear the retailer to anyone who will listen. They take it as a personal attack on their entire existence...and if you don't sympathize or echo their sentiments, then be prepared for a vulgar, sarcastic barrage of personal attacks and insults. Incoming!

If it was supposed to be a new ENGL,then IMO the op has a reasonable gripe. Should have been a new in box unit with all the associated paperwork and power cord.

Personally, I find a good 75% of the time, the insults, anger, and aggression starts with the readers/replies, rather than the OP. And, nearly 100% of that 75%, really don't read the facts, or understand them.

And, for what its worth, the Engl thing is water under the bridge, and not really meant to be the current reason or topic of discussion. That was months ago, it was just part of the OP. It was meant to be more about Reverbs policies, and Reverb sellers.

Hey I think it's time for Engage to stop doing damage control. Take your PR elsewhere. Dealer says he's selling brand new and doesn't deliver. Period.

I'm doing nothing of the sort. Perhaps it is time for you to grow up. The forum witch hunt mentality is why forums are dying off.

Not to argue, but his "supply and demand" comment isn't exactly wrong...

He can ask what he wants for it - that's his prerogative as the owner. My white RD Artist was up for $2100, just a couple hundred less than list. Someone out there who wants one bad enough will pay it, and that is because of supply and demand - there simply aren't really any out there for sale, and the demand is high. I also priced mine up there, because I am not really motivated to sell it. He might be in the same boat.

I know this is all Capt. Obvious stuff, but some people need a refresher. Everyone loves a good deal, but the scarcity of those are what make them GOOD.
