Overdrive help!!!

Good morning all.
So, I need help picking a new over drive.
I currently have the Jrad silver archer and it worked GREAT with my marshall head.
I since have gotten rid of the Marshall and am running a Gen 1 MT15 (newer ones have different tubes). The archer DOES NOT work well with this Amp. When you put ANY gain on it it starts to get this nasal half cranked Wah sound. I run the amp only on clean as a pedal platform Amp. I'm looking for that overdriven tweed/dumble esque "clean"..just on the edge of breakup. I got this Amp because it's cleans were based off the fender deluxe.

I use an Xotic RC Booster into A somewhat clean MESA Mark 2C+ to get to that zone.

Its gonna hard to get that honk out of the voicing of the mt15, but I would suggest a full frequency boost or even EQ pedal

The tc spark booster should work well and pretty cheap.
