Ozzy without Zakk is like Guns n Roses without Slash or Brett Favre in the Vikings :hys: It's not right :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:

It is nice to hear someone other than Zakk Wylde, whose playing has been horribly cartoonish for many years (more pinch harmonics, Zakk!).

As for Ozzy himself, it's hard not to root for him, despite the fact that $haron has done serious damage to the Osbourne franchise.

Gonna have to get used to seeing Gus there.

Who was on bass and drums? That wasnt borden was it?

Thats Tommy Clufetos on drums, he has played on John 5's solo albums and with Rob Zombie, not sure if thats Blasko on bass or who it is.

Yeah, I dunno obviously Gus G is pretty good but he hasn't done much for me yet playing Ozzy's stuff. As much as I would hate to say it Ozzy should just give it up and retire.

And my opinion on Zakks later work with Ozzy: from what Zakk says in Guitar World interviews most all of that stuff was written before he got involved with the recordings, so if the blueprint is already there with the producers or whoever playing I guess it would be hard to do much with it as Zakk likes to be involved from the start....So essentially its not much different than a Britney Spears project : other people write it , he shows up to sing it , therefore it's not too hard to see why he hasn't done anything worth a shit in years.
Youre right. Wikipedia says...

Gus G. – guitars (since 2009)
Rob "Blasko" Nicholson – bass (since 2003)
Adam Wakeman – keyboards (since 2004)
Tommy Clufetos – drums, percussion (since 2010)

AND how the hell are you gonna do a Jake song and not bring your Floyd? :gethim:
I guess you are not familiar with Jake's playing? He never used a Floyd.
Thats a good one!!!

Some of you guys are being pretty harsh....like some one said, Gus didn't hit one bad note. His sound was a little off since thats the first time I've seen him using Blackstar amps, usually he uses Randalls if I'm not mistaken. Gus is a solid player period!

Ozzy is Ozzy and is doing good IMO for some one who has been through what he has. What more do you want?

I have to agree with James and some of the other guys here...there's just no spark, no excitement of any kind in the band. The playing is ok...certainly not bad by any member, Gus included but where's the fire? Where's the edge? In some ways it's almost to tight...however good Gus is, he's not right for this gig. There's tons of guitarists out there that could really bring something to the table for Ozzy but for whatever reason, it's just not happening with this present group of guys.

Like alot on here I'd love to see Jake return...he's not even my fav Ozzy guitarist but he'd defintely add some excitement back...which at this point Ozzy needs.

I love that Gus was chosen for the guitar role, but those blackstars need to go, that is an awful tone.

I'm neither eperienced with those amps nor too much with Ozzy, but you can get this kind of guitar sound easily with a good amp/cab and just a bad placement of the mic.

IMO of course.
