Hey all i actually tried the hagen prior to purchasing through the front loaded 2x12 and the sound was immense. so at the moment im thinking about the 2x12
Tonally is there a difference between the 2x12 fl and the 4x12 fl v30 Anyone care to chime in would be greatly appreciated, have tried the rear loaded old style diezel cab with it and sounded nothing like when i demo'd the amp with the fl 212.

FL's typically offer more projection and 3D without relying on the cab so much for resonant bass response. FL is the newer trend for the last couple years - not better, just different. Old school cats still dig the warmth a RL can provide. Real difference with a 2x12 versus a 4x12 is just more air being pushed, therefore, bigger sound. But if you're jamming or only tracking a la studio close mic scenario, it doesn't matter a damn. V30's will sound better in a live environment (specifically when mated with the Hagen) as these were the speakers used in tuning the amp while it was designed on Peter's bench in Germany. However, to hear the amp 'be' the amp, the G12K's will offer this linearity. V30's = cut in the mix when things get loud, G12K's offer robust mic'ing opportunity. RL relies on design for bass, FL relies on speaker to have more free flow.

gonna order a 412 fl i think as i have a zilla cab 2x12 rl v30 semi ported based on the two rock cab design and this is great for home and small gigs i will get the fl 412 for more air pushing then!
