I just sent an email to Rooster about this, but I figured I'd post it here as well in case people have suggestions / ideas so everyone can benefit:

I just put together my Diamond Plate Vel-Top 30" board, it's awesome! I have some questions about parts, I was hoping you could help me...

1. Can you please tell me what parts (model/brand) you use for the A/C ports and the Neutrik ports, if I want to go ahead and install ports in those sockets?

2. Do you have any suggestions for installing a "bottom" on the board? In other words, I'd like to install some flat sheet of aluminum or lightweight wood or hard plastic on the bottom, from edge-to-edge, using the existing screw holes if possible, so that the bottom of the board is covered, to reduce dust from getting at the power cords and wall-warts I have installed underneath, and to give it an even more "pro" look. Anything you guys normally do for custom installs that would work?

3. I want to install bigger rubber "feet" - do you have any suggestions for anything you guys use?

My board sits in the bottom of the flight case I got with it, no need to cover the bottom. I would not recommend covering the bottom with anything that will need tools to open and make it hard to repair on the fly during a gig. It's nice that it's open and easy to get to.

Get the male receptacle to mount to the board, that way any normal 3-prong extension cord works as the power cord.

Hmm, do you know what the part number is for the male receptacle? That's exactly what I want.

Yeah, the ATA case is definitely the way to go...

The problem for me is the weight - the board is already fairly heavy now with all of the pedals on it, and the ATA case is going to add more. Between this and my Mark V 1x12 and a couple guitars, it's already a lot of gear to drag into a bar... :)

I'm still interested in the idea of some sort of thin sheet metal or lighter weight wood, maybe see if I can buy something already cut to the right size for me and then just drill holes where the rubber feet go, and line it up with longer screws and larger sized feet?

It's not critical, I did follow Rooster's advice and make sure everything underneath is secured as tightly as possible, but I'm still nervous about it.
