Paul Gilbert w/ Greg Koch, Doug Rappaport: Thunderbird Jam 4/25/26 Cincinnati Ludlow Garage

I just saw this show last Friday here in St Louis. Good stuff!

Doug R was using a Marshall JCM2000 DSL head into a Marshall 4x12" cab and his tone was great.
Something about those DSL...
So Doug could take out any amp of his choice on the road and he picks a JCM2000 DSL................huh.....:confused:

Jon Levin from Dokken also plays the hell out of those DSL's and he gets great tones out of them as well.

Nuno too! They sound great to me. They have the perfect standard "hard rock" voicing in a band context. Not very unique, but just right I think.

I should've brought my DSL50 to the ampfest!

I saw @SgtThump many years ago, his band at a club in Alton. It was a wild night. The DSL tone made me want one, Thump had the great tone that night. Sadly, there have been many murders and shootings there (at that club off Fosterburg)..I dont get it, it is a fairly peaceful area. Anyway, Thumps tone ruled.

That was a fun place! LOL

Here’s a pic of me with Koch.

He worked his merch booth before the show, after he played, and again at the very end. Nobody else worked it. He did it all.

I think that’s very cool myself.

Also, Paul was nowhere to be seen before or after he played. That's cool, but it sure made Koch look better.
