I’m planning to get a VHX when they will be back in stock, and I’ve seen a lot of demo, feedbacks, comments about the Blue and Red channels, how close they can be from a VH4 or Herbert, so I have no doubt about that, but I’m more a Vintage Blues & Rock guy and I like the tones I hear from the Paul amp. Apparently the VHX has the Paul circuits, so I wonder how close the Green and Yellow channels could be to the Paul channel 1 and 2?
Is any of you got a chance to compare them side by side? I know we have plenty of voicing in the VHX and tone is subjective, but I just want to be sure I could still find some nice Paul’s clean and edge of break up, or even some mild crunch in the VHX. I’m 100% convinced about high-gain already, so I just need to be sure for clean and low gain and vintage tones….
