1992 5150 block. I’m glad I grabbed this before the prices went up after evh’s passing. Very fun to play and still as good as many modern amps. I like how simple the layout is and the loop is great too. Wampler tumnus for slight boost.

I picked up a super clean block letter a few months ago. It’s such a great sounding amp through the right cabinet. I prefer it through my Friedman cab with well broken-in UK v30’s.

Great sounding amp..Ed had it right the first time, better than the EVH line that came after if you ask me.I would say the only "knock" was maybe that it was voiced a little darker to my ear when I played one years ago. An EQ with a slight bump rights that though and then it is flavour country. Could have been the amp I played and someone else's settings though etc etc.

Was this amp essentially based on a SLO?

I believe they stole the slo circuit and tweaked it. The peavey is funner and faster to play for me. The SLO cuts live like no other and haven’t tried this live yet.
