Looks cool. Clips so far are "hit or miss" but it looks like it is going tooter a LOT of bang for the buck. Supposed to street about $1800. If it doesn't end up on everyones "exclusion" list for sales, they should be able to be had for around $1550. For that price I'd seriously consider one.

For the features it has you cannot beat it.

My only gripe would be the giant FS not having a Tap Tempo plus I have not heard any very in depth and good quality clips to see how it actually sounds.

clips often suck at first. you know peavey knows how to make a good amp.

the features look great! the "one switch" to toggle back and forth is freaking great...should have been done long before now. two loops. switchable gate. yummy as fuck IMO!

I'd seriously pass on all the features and want a good 2 channel with a great clean and awesome lead tone. To this day, peavey has not pulled this off maybe the old triple x or ultra..but those were still far from an awesome lead tone.
These two videos that I've seen - not really able to judge, the sound was awkward.

Sounded pretty good to me but the name is terrible! Even today i read it as INEFFECTIVE.

I also don't know who this MAnsor fella is but he seems like a cool dude and can play the Djents pretty good.

yeah, if that was not sarcasm

He is a pretty good guitarist. I like his videos because he does a lot of their songs just instrumental. The vocals just kill that band for me. The singer is really good, I just do not like that kind of stuff.

He also has his old Solo stuff "Bulb" he was doing which was much more brutal IMO and more along the type of stuff I like.

Dude is good for sure and has made a name for himself. His band was nominated for a Grammy.

I'm pretty excited about it. I love that I can just put an H9 on top of the head an play a whole show with nothing else. I'll be snagging one as soon as it's available.

We all know clips are terrible on every new amp that's released. We have this discussion about every amp that's new... :D

That being said, that's a great feature set. The head encompasses most of what guys ask for down to gates and boosts, and as Nitrobattery said, you could just stick a couple pedals on top and roll with it.

He said so little about the sound. So does it sound basically the same as a 5150? Surely channel 2 and 3 must be somewhat different?
If yes then meh. A used 5150 can be had for so cheap. Nice features though.

He mentioned (besides clean) 1 ch has low mids the other hi mids

I wouldn't expect it from Misha but would be curious if it does medium to hard rock gain. The original 5150's actually did alright in that regard. Would never want an amp that is djenty only.

I wouldn't be surprised if its similar to an Invader considering the name and that's what he plays.

It sounds pretty damn good in the vid. Like to hear it thru a full stack in person.

It's funny how they edited out the part in the demonstration where Misha went to reverse the volume setting by turning the master all the way up rather than the channel volume and the amp capped out and was making all weird noises. It was in the live facebook feed they did at namm. Hope they get THAT little glitch fixed. Must have been pretty embarrassing for that to happen when you're trying to show off this hot new amp you're so proud of. That's how I would have felt anyway :-(

You can forget about using it's direct out for recording... sounds like total ass

Looks like Peavey robbed some features from the Driftwood Purple Nightmare with the built in OD and 9v power supply. I wonder if it sounds as good as a Driftwood?
