Peavey rock master through a Mark 2C+

when the rockmaster was still being sold new in stores around the first gen 5150 era i took my triaxis rack into the store to check out the peavey classic power amps and ended up A/B ing the rockmaster and triaxis. the rm lead tones were comparable in quality to the tri. didn’t like the 5150 head crunch/lead tones nearly as much (but liked the 4x12 cab)!

I know it's an old thread and bumping it up with no shame :ROFLMAO: :p

@ultimatemetalguitartones your video sounds very good.

There is a Rock Master on my local market place. I've been missing my 6505 and your clip does have a similar flavor tone wise. I would run the Peavey preamp into my IIC+ as you did.

So what is a fair price these days for a Peavey Rock Master in decent condition? Also, the seller wrote "one tube not working", I know a tube is an easy fix but I am a bit worried if something else could be broken and I am no experts in electronic. Anything I should be listening to or looking for if I go check it out?

I used a Rockmaster during my brief gigging days and they were notorious for developing channel switching problems and/or similar issues.

I had more than 3 and one of them had issues. The crunch and high gain tones you can get area great though. If I remember correctly I never paid more than 300 euros for a unit.
