I think Philip is the right player to bring back the "Big Strat" sound and attitude, and I love the fact that he's not trying to be SRV. Bravo, good sir.
Dude can get feral on the guitar. A wide open, wailing Strat in the right hands and with a good rig? FUGGEDABOUTIT. You want massive, glorious tone? There it is.
And his amp? It's basically a Twin in a head shell. The cab is a 2x12 open back with Electro Voice speakers.

That said, Sayce is a has-been fucking loser. I've known of him since the 90's. He is always poised to "make it" LOL

He’s a Stevie Ray Vaughan clone with triple the speed. Open your ears up, his album suck. He plays in shit hole bars like any other punk asshole guitar player trying to make it, and he’s been around since the 90s and hasn’t done a fucking thing worth a shit, so he may be the nicest guy in the world, but to me he’s a fucking loser.

All i will say is he has seymour duncan and pedal pawn in his corner and plays music for the love of it despite someone elses opinion of his success. He is more well known on internet than many that play in bars only or most any regular internet forum member. So despite his choice of music style or how he chooses to dress. Im happy for the guy.

Does he have the originality of the guys you mentioned? No. Does he have the chops? Fuck yeah and then some. After years of several successful World tours with Jeff Healy and Melissa Ethridge in their respective bands, a few opening tour slots with ZZ Top of his own, several solo albums including his latest with 113 million Spotify downloads, his tune Alchemy with 12.5 millions downloads alone, regular standing room only shows at LA's Baked Potato, he for sure has far surpassed your assessment of "hasn’t done a fucking thing worth a shit".
