People in their 40's, do you notice...?

After 40 you have to fucking eat and exercise and sleep like an Olympian. Any deviation results in mental and physical pain and issues. I can't even eat a piece of bread without feeling like shit. Pasta? Forget it. Say what you want about the all meat diets, when I eat primarily meat, I feel AWESOME. Carb? I feel like absolute shit.

I gave up on guitar when my band fizzled. Have no interest in sitting in a room by myself and playing. It got boring and I got sick of my fingers needing endless warm ups and just not being able to do the same thing I did the day before. So what's the logical thing to do at 53 years old? Start fucking scratching :D

When this shit took over MTV in the 80's I hated this music. I mean 24X7 utter deep seeded H8TRED. 30+ years later, here I am, fucking scratching. I'm a retard for anything that makes noise and I've always loved making fun of people with Tourette's. Now I can make Tourette's noised for hours on end. Fucking scrathing is not easy by any means. I don't really listen to this type of music, I just love making sounds.

Time is the enemy, travel for work, early 50’s. Rarely have time to play.

I’d rather spend what little time I have mtb and surfing/boating with my wife and friends.

Other than that, my eyes blur when looking at the neck and then glancing at studio one…. Getting worse by the month it seems 🤓

What tonewood are they made from?
Not sure. I think flame or quilt maple would be the ideal combination of ten top appearance, tone, and affordability.

Your tone is gonna suffer with those. The Dutch know jack shit when it comes to tone.
Think about it though. You're guitar is wood, the stage is preferably wood, and if you have wood shoes on you basically become a resonant part of the feedback loop. Your toenails literally become part of the tone chain. It's a genius idea and I'm thinking of contacting PRS to see if they have any interest in making a set for the serious guitarists aka doctors, dentists, and lawyers out there.

I think you are entering into a total untapped market, think about maybe setting up professional pants, show, guitar, amp and pedal pairings.. like wine tastings, but for tone.

As you age, your responsibilities increase and your free time decreases. I’ve found that to be the largest issue.

This. I was probably "better" 2 years into playing than I am now because I was practicing constantly and now I play like 30 minutes a month.

I am already seeing a family of gear. A wood load box, with IR‘s, called the Super Dike and each input says, finger here and the output level knob is in Litres/sec.

I turn 44 this month and I’m faster/tighter/cleaner than ever. My chops wax & wane based only on how much I’ve been practicing any given week or month. 6 years ago I made a decision to focus less on writing and more on technique and it has paid off tremendously. I practice to a click almost to a fault. Death metal, plenty of fast 16th’s so I’m pretty much forced to keep the speed up. Don’t forget to stretch.

I am better now at 60 than I ever was (and after 2 carpal tunnel release and 8 trigger fingers surgeries).
