People on Reverb are bat-shit crazy!

I’m pretty sure a lot of the crap on Reverb now is people not really interested in selling but if someone’s willing to give them the full “new” / MSRP price for their used gear they’ll gladly move it. I have “ESP Eclipse” on my feed and basically every other day someone puts up a used (& abused) Eclipse for like $200 less than the brand new price, or even worse, higher than the price dealers are listing new ones for on the site

People like the Essex recording dude listing “artist owned” gear at a massive markup are causing folks to try and cash in. Deals are still able to be had but you have to wait a long time for them to come up and act fast.

Yes!!! I have noticed this!! Guys are selling used for higher than new prices!! And no, not in Europe or Asia. Right here in the USA!!

I find this immensely offensive! Apparently people’s greed knows no bounds and it grows stronger by the day.

I have never once made a lowball offer on an item. But, I am now considering it because my lowball offer would be a fair or generous price for the item.

People have lost their minds.

The Essex dude is a terrible guy. His hypocrisy knows no bounds, nor does his greed.

How the hell did that guy along with a few others get negative comments REMOVED FROM REVERB?!?!

Why wouldn't someone sell for the highest price they can get? I've listed stuff on CL before I thought would never sell and it sold without any haggling. Am I supposed to offer a discount when they don't ask for one? I sold a busted watch bracelet on eBay for parts only, needs repair and it went for over $200. I couldn't believe it, but the buyer was overjoyed. I'll make lowball offers when it's something I really don't need, but would take if they're giving it away. I came across a 1971 Marshall 1987 head the other day in a music store, buried in a stack of old dusty amps and I think I saw it there 3-4 yrs ago. $5k was the price last time. $3500 this time. Under $2k and I would have snagged it, but I just so don't need it unless they're giving it away. Oh well. It will sit there a while longer and I'll drop in again in a few weeks.
