I saw him playing on Don Henley's tour a few years back. He was very cool - talked to me online before the show about his rig and some other cool touring stuff.

GREAT player and super nice guy....worst thing you can say about him is that he makes every demo sound good and I get pissed when I don't sound like him when I buy the pedal:)

Super cool talented dude, takes time for demos and sharing some knowledge, when he probably has the busiest schedule ever. BIG Thanks to Pete !!

Another kudo on the pile for Pete. I've bought more than a few pieces of gear based partially (or mostly) on his demos. I read his column in PG first, before anything else, and I always appreciate how he chimes in on threads on the gear boards. I don't see any other big name players doing that any more. I used to see Andy Wood's posts here and there, but haven't seen anything from him in a while.

Pete's a great player, but I wouldn't be able to pick him out from dozens of other great players. It's not like could listen to a track, and say; "That's got to be Pete Thorne playing..."

I fit in here as well .. also can't watch a video of him

Absolutely! Nice guy and great player. He gives up so much time for demos and interaction. I had seen him several times on Cornell tours and caught his Suhr clinic for his PT100 amp.

 Thanks again dudes! You guys are a cool bunch. I appreciate the kind words.

I must have watched this clip at least 50 times: Simply amazing.

I might sound cheesy here - but this clip contributed in bringing me back to writing music and re-discovering what truely makes me happy.
I'm now working on a new album.
Feeling inspired is one of the best feelings anyone can experience

And of course it's great to hear from fellow gear nerds out there.

That makes me really happy, glad you like what I do, and so cool you are working on your own album!!! Best of luck with it, and I hope you have a blast making it!

Great guitarist and great ear for tone. Also love the way he catalogues everything. Total gear nerd stuff and very much appreciated. Really liked the fuzz in that demo.. i have been thinking i would like to add a treble boost and a light fuzz for distorted tones to my rig. Might check that one out.

I like his Guitar Nerd album, downloaded from iTunes after hearing a couple tracks on Youtube.
