does it have to be rack? I have played with the peterson line tuners and i much prefer using the turbo tuner by sonic research.

Doesn't have to be rack but I like the look of it. I will take a look at the turbo tuner as well.

Back in my rack-days I started with the DTR-1000 and could not get rid of it fast enough. Way too inacurate; it hurt my ears...
Replaced it with a Peterson that I still have to this day even though I don't use racks anymore. Also awesome for setting intonation after new strings.

Definitely agree on the DTR-1000 not being accurate. Only other tuner I have liked is the BOSS TU-2 and 3 but really do like it all being rack mounted. I am gonna go for it. Looks cool and reliable. Much appreciated guys!
