I nailed that price didn't I? Lol I should win both showcase showdowns! Woohoo!!

I was a Mesa fan years ago. Looks like I might have to check this one out.

I must be an idiot. Can't find a pic of the transformer. Where is it?

This looks like it could be cool. I can't picture Petrucci signing off on something he didn't feel was a good representation of the IIC. Does anybody discount Boogie stuff?

Go to the Mesa Hollywood store site..and find the amp. Its got a few different views there.

Oh my god. Just when I thought I was perfectly content with my Mark V. Why'd this have to happen? Haha

I have a late number '85 MKIIC+, 60W head, no options. Love it to death, but I am gonna need this. Will be fun to compare, and also possibly to leave the original at home now. So psyched.

Now just please let this be the ONLY signature Mesa amp for some time. I don't wanna see them go down that path, like every other company. I think Randall has integrity, and only bestowed the honor on Petrucci and Carlos because they truely have been beacons for the company for years and years.

Wow, I just saw this too. Looks interesting. I have a feeling the 2C+ mode will be as close as the Mark V's 2C+ mode (not very close ;))
I agree. However, Petrucci responded to someone on Facebook saying that it is not like the MV IIC+ circuit and is identical to his old IIC+ circuit. I'm calling BS.

Jury will be out soon. I have to wonder how much feel, tone, etc., is lost in design for easier, faster production methods like ribbon cable board joining. I played the V and was not impressed. Would take my old III or IV or all day long. JP gets royalties so what would we expect him to say.

I imagine Steve K might be one of the first to try this....looking forward to an honest review by a real 2C+ owner...gonna be awhile before I can grab one! Lol

Did any else notice that there is no mention of the power section being simul-class? Or did I miss it? I thought that the simul class was necessary for the 2c+ to be magical. Just hearsay, I have never played one.

Can't wait to try it out.

I knew Danyeo would be all over this...I am showing my age to you young bucks, but his clips of his Mesa with the crispy cream treble booster made me buy one. Actually i've owned two> I think you were playing Bad Boys by Whitesnake? Sounded killer. haha

I remember those clips as well. damn he can play and had killer tone.
Those clips still out there?

,,,,and, does the amp come with a footswitch or is it MIDI switching only and buy your own system?

No. Some prefer the SC, some prefer the 100/60 which I believe this new 2C+ is. And that's because Petrucci likes the 100/60 best for his tone from what I've read. I had a 100/60 original at the same time as my 60w upgraded 2C+. I liked the 60 better so I sold the 100. When I had a SC Mark 3 I liked it best with all 6L6 anyway, if my 2C were SC I'd probably run it the same way.

I've owned simul and non simul and played a lot more including the 100, 105 and export transformers. I currently own and love mine with non-simul and 100 transformer. If for nothing else, I love not having issues finding Sylvania 6L6's that run in my amp. Also, I've never cared for run in EL34's in the simulclass. That said, a friend has one that is running Sylvania 6CA7's that sounds killer.

Looks interesting. :)

Predict it will sound closer than the V but not exactly like the originals to the purists.

Regardless I might try one just to see if I like it.

I have a 100 watt blue stripe with the export transformer. What kind of differences are there? I've never really thought about it.
