I wish Phil would just fucking get Dennis Munoz from Solstice to handle guitar/vox.
I saw Malevolent 5-6 years ago, maybe more, with DM, as a three piece because Phil was benched with health issues.
I wasn’t expecting much, and boy was I wrong….
Munoz is a fucking BEAST. That guy effortlessly destroyed that place with crushing vocals, riffage, and monster tone out of all things, a Line 6 Spider Valve. His playing, along with the other two guys, was so clean, tight and brutal.
My buddy and I, both MC fans of 35 years, left there utterly stunned that MC killed that hard sans Phil with three hired guns.
