Black Jazz IIIs.

I toyed with the Ultex Jazz IIIs but I find the attack a little dull and feel that they have a little too much drag on the strings, especially the wounds. I have a couple of red ones too but the tone difference seems negligible between the red and black, maybe the black is a little more defined?

Yes, I like Jazz IIIs.

The uncle of our other guitarist in our band is the australian importer & distributor for Diezel. He also stocks the wegan picks & they are freakin awesome.
I have had mine for 2 years & use it daily & it is still near new. It comes bevelled on the back side to improve alternate picking.

None of the above, I love thick pics ... Dunlop 2.0mm at home, 1.5mm for gigging.
Always amazes me when i see other guitarists pics like Doug Aldrich, Neal Schon, Steve Morse, Vinny Moore at how thin they are ??? YUK  dunno how you get a decent tone from a flimsy pic ?

i use Dunlop Nylons .88mm's

before that i was using the same 2.0mm ones you do now, AND i was carving the tips custom to my own specs. any other pic i would literally shred them to pieces, there would be pick plastic all over my humbuckers and my guitar's finish. also my fast runs were very inaccurate because the pic was so thick.

i play much more controlled with a thinner lighter pic (but not too thin) - relaxed but controlled in my wrist. think paul gilbert in his early days.

the only difference i can feel is bitch squeals are off sometimes. but i have began to use the 1.18mm ones to fix the issue. i dont go through pics by shredding them up or wearing them down nearly as much anymore. i might have to buy a box once every 6 months.

Ultex or the Planet Waves Black Ice which look like the Jazz III's to me.

Stainless Steel live, Pick Boy Posi-Grips the rest of the time (the black ones).

I used Cool picks for a while but I'm always grabbing Jazz III's instead now.

I use Fender medium or heavy, been using medium more lately.

I would like to try some other brands, but haven't had time to see what would correspond to a Fender medium in thickness. I find I like mediums for my LP's and heavy for my strats in general.

I've been using Dunlop Gator Grip 2mm for years. I love that pick. The new Dunlop Big Stubby 2mm is pretty cool too. Only gripe with that one is some chirpy high end doing fast chunk parts, but it's amazingly smooth and fast for leads.

Clayton Delrin .88(Dunlop green tortex equivalent) with our band name on them. The Graphic doesn't rub off like the Dunlops though. Good prices, super quick turn around time(within a few days usually)! No doubt I'll continue to get picks from them for a long time.

Which type? I see they make a few different kinds. Do they last longer than a dunlop, say? They seem to be quite a bit more pricey.

You're missing "other" as an option...
