Pickup magnet comparison

The Phil X Unchained video got me looking for A8 info and I found this. If you look at the comments there is a lengthy one by 'SD' that appears to be Seymour. The guy has unoriented A5 but then strangely does not include it in test. Any of you know the diff between unoriented and...oriented (I guess?). You'll need good speakers/buds/phones to really capture the differences.

What are your sources for magnets? Per the SD guy, they ALL come from China anyway. So I guess AliExpress might be good place to look.

That’s where I get them. I have every magnet they sell. I have a few A4’s I need to try.

I have a few I got over 10 years ago but can't remember where. That video above differs from my experience over the years though. His A2 description is almost opposite of what mine would be (from experience tho).

I did find another video where the guy's descriptions agreed with mine and he said unoriented A5 was somewhere between A2 and A5...which makes me very interested.

That guy said rough cast takes a tiny bit of bite away which would also be desirable for some A5 pickups.
