I have been on a Pickup changing kick latetly, not sure why. I have Fender SCN cobalt noiseless pickups in there now. They are a bit too thick and modern for my tastes. So I am looking for pickups that are a little more open sounding but not too vintage that I turn the strat into a one trick pony. I like the SCN's cause they can get into hard rock territory.

For reference in my main MIA strat I have the stock pickups in the neck and middle and an Anderson H2+. I actually like the stock pickups pretty well, I may change those at some point, I wish they were a bit thicker sounding. On my other MIM strat I have two Bill Lawerence L280's in the neck and middle and a SD hot rails in the bridge. I really like the L280's, they sound thicker than the MIA strat stock pickups but not as thick as the SCNs.

My budget is $200, could go up to $250. Used is fine, feel free to spam me if you have a set.

I have always wanted to try Kinmans and Fralins.

Suhr Landau Fletch Set........don't know if they meet your price range, but they are some of the best.

I have a set of Fralin Vintage Hots...awesome pickups. I saw a band in CO whose lead guitarist played a Warmoth Strat with Kinman's through an Egnator TOL100...it was one of the best, most versatile sounding Strat tones that I've ever heard.

Fender Fat 50's or Dimarzio Area 61 or Blues in the neck/middle and Solo Bridge

Seymour Duncan SSL1s for Neck and mid, and SSL5 for Bridge.

Impossible to beat for the money. Just awesome, awesome tone. Everything you could want from an A5 Strat Pickup set.

I prefer Fat 50's by a long shot as far as singles go. But they may be too vintage for you.

Thanks for all the suggestions. As I found just by looking a little, there are a TON of options.

What I think I am going to do is to go for the Suhr Landau Fletch set for my SSS strat. For my other MIA fat strat I think I am going to get the Fender Fat 50's set and just use the neck and middle (this is cheaper than getting 2 kinmans). I am a little concerned though with how the RWRP middle pickup will react with the Anderson H2+ in the bridge....

If you want noiselss I love the Dimarzio Area 51's I have in my strat. The last ones were some Suhr's V60's with a silence plate. These sound much better to me.

I've said it before, and I'll keep after this...email Bryan at BG Pickups and see what he'll wind for you. Great cat.
