Hey Rich,I love the JB in certain apps but the les paul needed something big,and the muy just sounds fat,huge,responsive,tight,all the above.I did put P/P pots and did the split,although it sounded greatI just can't get over the extra noise of the single mode.Might be insane in the PRS,with the 5 way.The Crunch and punchbox are killer pickups,a ceramic JB with a better attack

The 5 way in the PRS is nice because in single coil mode, it is noiseless. I don't know how that would be with the Rios because of wiring.....plus with the 5-way you always have two coils going....never just one coil. Maybe I just need a strat or leave this guitar with the PRS pickups and get Rios in my LPs. Maybe the Muy in my one LP and the BBQ in the other. I LOVE the BBQ. I am not fully sold on cermaic mag'ed pickups but the PRS onces sound pretty nice.

When I had split pots in my McCarty....the noise as never a problem.

I hear what you say about noise but I forget..is there noice when using say, the middle and another single coil pickup such as on a strat in position 2 and 4? I just can't decide if I should leave my PRS alone or do the standard toggle switching with a push pull pot.

I wish Rio made the Muy Grande with a nickel cover. Seems weird!

I finally spent all night doing some pickup swaps in my burst LP and ended up with the Torque bridge. The Burstbucker Pro is out, so is the Angus Young bucker although that is good I just love the Torque. I might throw the Rio Grande BBQ in before moving on though. Now, I just have to order a Torque neck pickup. I think Jason has used this one.

My black LP has Wolfetone pickus that also rip! I can't get myself to touch my stock 1994 PRS CE-22 with Dragons, that thing sounds incredible stock as does my 1989 SG! Go figure!

I just put the torques in my SG custom and put the Nukes in the VooDoo,much better The neck Torque is a super sweet rich!!!If you like the bridge,you'll like the neck.Since I put the MCPs in,I find myself using the necks a lot.
