I need suggestions for a bridge pickup for a 76 Les Paul custom. I have been switching a lot lately but can't find one I LOVE yet. The closest I have been is a MCP Black Belt 2 but it was a tad thin sounding in my guitar. Love the clarity but want a tad less highs and a tad more in the lows. Also had a Detroiter, but it was a bit light in the lows as well, great low mid thing but .... Any suggestions? right now I have a SD 59 but for some reason the highs are too brash. Love the 59 in the neck.

in before ventura!
bare knuckle black dog
aha!
:D

vhII is pretty punchy as well, and little more balanced (black dog is more midrange focused)

I loved the neck 2nd degree black belt, though

afwayu

smoother top than bb
more low mids

more bass

more output.

just more!

that is what wade has in his les paul custom

alot thicker and tighter than detroiter which i feel is more like a hot paf that stays tight with gain but still retains the paf sound.

Wade has one called the Garuda ( not sure if that's the spelling ) Its his take on a old jb. Sounds great. He made it at my request.
