Looks WAY better than that ugly blue color IMO.
Yea - I'm thinking of refinishing my other blue 1527 and possibly re-refinishing the 7620.

That looks sweet Pete congrats

I thought basswood looked different then that unpainted for some reason...

Thanks man. This is a little more grainy than most basswood. Sometimes the grain really sticks out.

Looks fantastic Pete!

Mind telling how you stripped it? And have you noticed a tonal difference?

Thanks. I bought a beltsander and went to town. Most of the time was spent on the side edges and inside the horn area where I had to try drill adapters and ended up doing it by hand. I just finished it yesterday. I'm waiting for my wife to leave so I can play LOUD. Then I'll be able to compare it to my stock 1527 for any differences in sound.

that looks alot better than your other guitars IMO

glad it worked out

Thanks. Yea - This definitely turned out best of the three I've done so far. But I like my Rg550 body with a Jem7d neck too.

Looks great. If you're doing another, I'd do a transblack, kinda smokey lookin' stain then tung oil that

Thanks. I was originally thinking of doing a trans black or even brown, but I didn't know if it'd hide the grain - especially since there isn't a whole lot of obvious grain anyway.
