I personally am interested...But wanna see this play out...Especially since I read here that Brad has 6 on order right now...This place will buzz and buzz about this gear...

But will the classifieds be full of them in a year or less?

Side note, do most Kemper users share profiles?

I'm sure it will grow. Profiling will be a big thing and there will be several versions/revisions of the Kemper and I bet others will join the party.

It's here to stay.

Play one & you'll get what the raves are about.

Of course better units with more feature sets will happen in the future but nothing stays the same with anything.

This.

Have had mine since April, still in love with it, thing just gets better and better. Have yet to find anything I don't like about it, for what I use it for, recording and rehearsals, it works flawlessly and sounds amazing. and everyone knows what a gear whore I am, and it's still here, that alone says something. ;)

I love this thing. I've got no reason to sell it. I just need bigger speakers and possibly a power amp.

I don't think the modelling fad will go away, but I'm sure sooner or later the next big thing will take the Kemper's place. Just like it did to its predecessors.

The good thing about the first revision is it was well thought out prior to it release. I know it will get better but for what I do it will be awesome for a long long time for me. I too like man others am totally happy with it. You can buy pretty much any profile of an amp that has been released for like 5 bucks... How can you beat that, and if you have friends with killer amps buy em a beer and maybe they will let you profile them. In about 10 min you can set up with you favorite mic of choice and setting you like and your done a footprint of that awesome amp you always wanted but couldn't afford....

Now if I can get Juggy to profile that killer ultralead and some more of that Gutteriez modded "Satanic Hispanic" I would be happy as a little girl at a Beiber concert...

I heard the bogner kemper here on rig talk and it changed my mind as well as Wagner endorsing it.... real sounding = real sounding...once you can copy the sound, no need to improve and the fad will only grow

They will eventually offer a tube version. ;)
I will wait for a Kemper version of the Kemper.....Called the Camper.
Projected release date 2014. Smaller and better. The size of a Thimble but can play full concert venues with ease.

All Kidding....the Kemper to me sounds Kick ass! If I had the extra money I would snag one.

I just can't see how they can copy the natural tube compression, harmonics, etc. I think it is a tool that gets close enough. Its a lighter load to carry out if one gigs. Its easier, which means allot, especially considering most audiences cannot tell any way. Its allot more sound man friendly as well. It has its pluses and for some these outweigh the negatives compared to a good tube amp.

well I was gonna get an axe fx for ease of carrying, but I have not heard axe fx clips that really gave me the tube feel like this:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=128417&hilit=kemper+bogner

also in a mix, or live you are going to be able to tell, but I'm like you tube all the way, I just want something easier to carry than a giant rack with multiple amps....and sound at least 99% real

The Kemper will only grow. Its the flat screen TV versus the old Tube TV. The masses want the newest technology and thats where I see it heading. Theres a big market for hyped up technology (iPhone, Facebook,Twitter). Tube amps may not be "cool" anymore but that doesn't mean I am jumping on the bandwagon.

It will go away just like that music downloading stuff. People would rather spend 3500 for an amp than 5 for a bundle of profiles that are only 92.5 % as good.

This always happens with any piece of technology, regardless. Everyone wants the next best thing. They would be foolish to not keep developing product, of course.
However, what makes this piece different is the use you get out of it from profiling as well. It's not just a box of tones.....you can work with it to profile something new that comes out.

It can only keep getting better.

LoL......funny stuff! :) Actually...it's 99%......last I checked....no one in the audience could tell either.

It will grow. Look what happened to the axe fx. When axe fx started, It was cutting edge. Now the axe fx 2 has some competition from kemper, 11r, etc.

Love the Kemper! You can buy profiles, but there's 1000s that are free
I haven't seen an FJA Road king yet lol
