Clips or you replaced the niner-resistor with a Bugera!

If anybody is wanting their 20th XTC to breathe more fire from the Blue and Red channels replace the resistor in R7 with a 220K or if you're a single coil player like me use a 330K resistor to get a little more.

Also, R10 in standard form has a 100K resistor, change this to a 220K.

Whoah.... wanting even more gain from the amp with every gain stage bypassed... seems a little bit insane . Increasing values of anode resistors will squeeze more gain but IMO will add more than just a "little" compression .

But still clips would be very interesting here

Idk, I think all those guys use less gain than you think, though...I'd rather try different preamp tubes than poke around inside...just saying.
