V30/Creamback H combo. It’s by far my favorite cab. It fills up a room better than most cabs I’ve tried (Mesa,Orange,Peavey) waiting on my invective cab to see how it compares.

Yeah I heard that the 75 Creamback/v30 combo is ideal for highgain, it seems the guy from Periphery asked Peavey to use the same speaker combo for his pine 212 invective cab. I was close from getting a Tube Town 212 with V30/Creamback H, but the Port city deal was better, so I jumped in. Also WGS aren't as available as Celestions speakers, so I thought it will be a chance to try them inside the OS PC, then maybe later I can add a Creamback 75!

Had one in 2008-9. Loved it. Corpulent sounding. It started my ported cabinet obsession. A bit directional for my tastes.

I understand that we tend to change our taste and perception over time, but I guess that once we reach a certain level of top quality and attention to details then the risk of deep disappointment is so slim! I surely would like to try Forte or even a Stone age, but when I read random comments of people who had Mesa and Bogner choosing PC as a goto cab, it makes me feel good haha
I guess it's a sort of psychological relief, it's a mind trick for sure )))
I have never tried a Portcity before, so this will be my first time ever, the problem is that some people are able to try before they buy, unfortunately I don't have that priviledge, I just try to gather maximum information, then I take a leap of faith!

I replaced a Mesa with my port city and was happy. I also habe had the OS 1x12 which was surprisingly big sounding as well. Id say girth is the max benefit of the port city design.
The bogners are built by v boutique, dont let that name fool you, I have had three v boutique cabinets sans logos and paid great prices for them. I still have. A 1x12 of theirs but had a diezel usa they buillt and another 2x12.
As for the cabinets, I directly compared them and favored the forte for a few reasons.
The port city is large and fat sounding, a loose open back type feel. It is rather directional, the sounds changes drastically off axis.
The forte I use are both sealed and ported cabs in one. I still get the punch for low tuned metal from the sealed cab but dynamics and cleans are enhanded by the ported box. This also fills the room, off axis the forte is clear and loud.
I also far prefer vertical 2x12, the phenomenon “column effect” of a horizontal cab throws the sound vertically from floor to ceiling. The vertical 2x12 throws the sounds horizontally across the stage.
