You can use this to match tones, much like the Axe or Kemper....using an audio file or mic'd audio source. I'm stoked.

Coming soon...got a buddy who's beta testing it right now and he loves it....says the Tone Match is spot on and it's a blast to use.

Sweet...I asked them when a desktop version was coming out...they said they were working on development...I wasn't sure it would happen. Awesome

I knew about it but had no idea about tone matching. That is huge.

Can you transfer matched tones to iPad I wonder?

Hope so; got a whole bunch of stuff I'd match and make use of. Exact TMs of Meshuggah tones, Pantera tones, all kinds of shit. Can't wait for this.

How does tone matching work? Wouldn't you need an isolated sampling track or can you just sample a CD?

not too much talk about PGB rigtalk - I think the tones in this app are the shit !!

I contacted PGB to ask them for an approx price when PGB for desktop hits the streets
and unfortunately they said that info was "unavailable"

I love bias for my iphone.

I have only used it with a shitty 100w solid state pa for a power amp so maybe I'm missing out but I still feel the need for a tube amp.

I am very curious about this tone matching thing tho

They had mentioned earlier somewhere that it was going to be around November but you never know. They may hold it off until Namm......

Can't wait to try it out!

or maybe not until namm

Dammit!!!!  I'm moving soon and wont be able to use my amps, I was really hoping that this would be my recording alternative.

Should I just get the iphone version and run that into my interface?

It can be downloaded, first price was $99.- now it's at $149.-

I like it, have not tried the amp matching yet. Could not find the Tone Cloud so far, I guess it is not really final/official.

Cool, I might try the demo just to check it ou. I'm mainly interested in the tone matching.

Downloaded the demo for pc, installed it and then had to quickly uninstall it. As soon as I opened the plugin in Reaper, my anti-virus went bonkers. The interface also wouldn't do anything...the whole thing was greyed out and it was emitting a really annoying, high pitched, constant squeal until I shut it down. Not sure what they're doing but they haven't handled this whole thing very well so far.

Even though I started the thread, just seriously not interested. BIAS is a decent app and very user friendly, but with the quality of the LePou stuff and the Ignite stuff, I honestly don't see the point of paying $150 for this.

$20 for the app on my iPad as an all in one recording solution is one thing, and if this were the same price I'd probably snag it, but already owning it on two other devices leaves no need. Think they kinda blew it with the price point...if they'd priced this at $30 or under pretty much every recording guitarist out there would have bought it.

You accidentally downloaded the Buckethead version, it's supposed to do all that

alot of people (myself included) have similiar problems with the demo

that along with the desktop version costing 30 freaking times more what the
apple version costs = Major League FAIL

next, are they gonna make jamup for desktop & want another $149 for that too ?

Right now itunes has Bias for $4.99, it would be cheaper for me to buy an Ipad
and go that route

NOTE to Positive Grid - You really pissed off alot of potential customers with this
bullsh*t

You gotta think that the price point for BIAS came down by 3/4 in the last year. Can only hope this will follow. I'd buy it for $30-$40 but no more. Hopefully they recover R/D cost and blow it out this time next year.

Same here, I love bias on iOS for $20 but the main want for the desktop is the matching and definitely not wanting to pay $150 for it. The matching is cool but I wasn't really impressed by the demos/comparisons they uploaded. I'll probably just stick with the iOS app.
