Tone wise I can't decide between the SC std. satin or the McCarty std. I will say I'm a convert from maple topped guitars to solid mahogany. Most of the time I just like the tone better.

My Custom 22 holds alot of sentimental value. Not my favorite for tone(though its sounds awesome) since I prefer the darker, tighter sound of the 2 up above.

The purple one was ordered by me from GMW. Probably the best feeling neck I've ever come across.

The white one is also a GMW. Can't say enough about these guitars. Theirs something special about GMW guitars. Its to bad Fender had to piss on the parade w/ the headstock issue.

Cheers mate! The cap is just over a cm thick. It's > 100yr old swamp-reclaimed maple.
