coffee ! yes...drink it black....no cream or sugar for me....i drink it by the gallons...i'm a snob when it comes to coffee....think i'll go for my 3rd cup this morning right now !

im lactose intolerant, i used to drink milk all of the time with protein shakes when i worked out training for the military, but after an allergic reaction to medication over the winter it causes severe abominable pain :aww:

this is a really cool topic

also single for the past 3-4 years. have dated in my past but both relationships i was cheated on.

I have a twin sister and I have twin girls (mom told me twins skip but they clearly don't and there were no fertility drugs used by myself or my mother).

I HATE office jobs. If I ever go back to being in an office I'll kill myself

Similarly, I can't have a "boss". I could never have any one ever presiding over me in a vocational context.

Awesome thread.

Laura - ValveQueen - TWINS!!!! Goodness...

I was a professional skydiver for 6+ years in Hawaii, 94-2000.
I'm a Tandem master, Aff instructor, Videographer, and Parachute rigger. I have logged over 5200 skydives as well as about 50 Base jumps.
Ever hang with the late great McConkey?? Was ski-brethren to me... RIP :salute:

I never got a chance to meet him.. I've been out of the sport for a few years now.
I'd heard a lot about him... He did a lot for both sports.

I used to stuff myself with sugars of all kinds when I was working out and naturally before my fructose intolerance was diagnosed. Up to 4000 kcal a day to gain mass. Not to mention the thousands of carb/prot shakes. I guess I may have damaged my digestive system a bit this way. Oh, this and the fact that during the last two years I would binge on snacks and chocolate every night (but would eat moderately and very healthy during daytime). Must have to do with my job, too. Well, on the good side I'm now completely and utterly ripped...without the impressive body mass to go along with it. ;)

Also: Coffee is great! Alcohol only in small amounts and of high quality. Sheesh, I forgot I also have oesophagial reflux, so only little indulgence allowed.

try some GOOD quality Omega-3 (I recommend BioTest's Flameout, 6 caps daily, 2 with each meal) along with Digestive Enzymes (try Coach Charles Poliquin products)

I'm a Bruce Lee nut...not as much his movies, although pretty good for kung fu flicks, but more his writings and journey through martial arts, think the latter is pretty fascinating.

Same here man. The guy's knowledge was infinite. Which of his books would you recommend? I'm looking into a few. At the moment I'm reading 'The Art of Expressing The Human Body'. It's incredible to see how he approached everyday life, and how he trained his body and ate, purely to build strength and improve function. It's a great read :-)

Mike, that's definitely a good one. My first real book about the martial arts, and still my favorite, was the Tao of Jeet Kune Do. Here's a guy that comes from a classical Chinese martial art background in Wing Chun and incorporates elements of Thai and American boxing, fencing, jiujitsu, wrestling and aikido and distills it into what works. The opposite of the traditional idea of forms and classicism, his take was use what works for you, and for each individual, that's a different mix or approach, due to body geometry, weight, build, and individual skills and interpretation. Hell, to me, that makes it an art form again, that you have that kind of interpretation and influence. I thought the really interesting part was how he talks about fencing and boxing, the use of distances and angles...he obviously put incredible amounts of thought into it, as a science. I'd go with the Tao of Jeet Kune Do, and if you like that, go deeper with Bruce Lee's Fighting Method: The Complete Edition. The latter includes a great deal of photos, if you dig into ToJKD, definitely pick up the Fighting Method!

I'm a corrections officer in a state prison and although I feel lucky to be employed in these times I fucking hate it most days. The shit I'm around is off the charts. Cannot wait until I reach retirement, which is a long ways off.

I get awful withdrawal symptoms too... I drink around 4 large shots of espresso most days, brewed in a Moka pot on the stove. The stuff is like rocket fuel.

I have had a rotten cold for the last week and since my throat is bad, i have tried to steer clear of any coffee/milk to avoid getting bad mucus. The withdrawal symptoms from no coffee have actually made me feel worse than the cold has LOL

Well... let's see... hmmmm.... I don't know quite how to say this, but... I'm kind of a big deal around here. I have many leatherbound books and my office smells of rich mahogany...

I've never taken any sort of drug either. But as a current college student, I've had many opportunities to (even holding a huge joint in my hand), but it's just against me to do it

I'm addicted to working out, stupid I know but it's true. I get anxiety if I miss a day.
