Ok sorry for being sarcastic, what I really should have said was that I actually thought the same thing when I first saw the price but I thought it would be a good experiment to buy a couple. As for my findings, with overdriven sounds the Jazz III has a great tone so for me it really was about the feel of the Red Bear. Great size and shape and silky smooth. I am going to be very careful not to lose it obviously but have a backup in my pick holder. I feel that I've spent so much money on my Suhr, pedals, cables and amp that it seems silly to rely on a cheap pick when I could have something that little bit special, it just seems unfair on my beautiful guitar otherwise

I've put in about 40 hours of play time on my Red Bear pick, a lot of which has been aggressive metal work. There is no sign of any wear on the pick at all, it's crazy. $20 is a lot for a pick, but considering the great tone/feel and lifespan, it's more than worth it for me.

Which is exactly the point I wanted to make, I use Elixir Nanoweb strings on my electric because I can play every day for 3 months and they still sound and feel the same as the day I put them on, a regular set of strings would be dead in a week or two. I know $20 is a lot but if you spend a lot of money on gear anyway why not give them a go.
