Preamp - pedals suggestions for tight riffs - metal

The Herbert was pretty awesome.

Ive compared that preamp pedal into the loop vs a distortion pedal and there was a huge difference in volume

I had the vh4 and as much as I wanted to keep it, I think it wouldn't do the tight palm muting thing. Domt get me wrong, I believe it's awesome for leads.

It's meant to be great for metal! I think this one would also work well with my torpedo CAB
