Preamp tube function???

My Dmoll went down last night figuring it was a preamp tube so far it seems to be V5… what is each position responsible for ?

I'd say the Service manual pages 39-41, but it seems the Dmoll isn't covered.

V2 Second or Second and Third stage depending on channel
V3 All channel last stage
V4 Send
V5 Return
V6 PI

maybe explain what you mean by "went down"

did you hear a bunch of crackle pop before it went?
did it fizzle out and just become inaudible?
did it just stop making sound altogether?
can you hear anything out of it??
what sounds, if any, does it or did it make post "going down"?

Just an extreme volume drop after it was running a while. It was V5… replaced that one with a spare… ordered a new set after that…. All good ever since
