The televising thing is definitely weird, i don't know where it's being shown, and i have no desire to watch it.
Probably because it's a military execution. A military execution hasn't happened in about 65 years and by firing squad in about 85 yearsSo if they are going to execute this guy and stream it, why aren't they doing that for all mass shooters or murderers? Why just this guy?
Yep, it was completely limited to military personnel, civilians not included.Probably because it's a military execution. A military execution hasn't happened in about 65 years and by firing squad in about 85 years
Yeah, I'd like to see it and I believe it should be shown so the public knows there are ACTUAL consequences to shitty actions.
No more fairy land bullshit...the hard truth needs a MAJOR comeback locally in today's world.
You can't cosplay with out the cos. Go for it!!!Yep, it was completely limited to military personnel, civilians not included.
I think I'll get out my dress khakis and stand at attention while watching him get blown away.
I guess I can understand that from one perspective. I would personally suggest that watching someone else die will do little for the healing and grieving process. However I can see how others would have a different opinion on that.It was never about being a deterrent.
It's about retribution for the family of the victims.
Do they have the death penalty in canada?
Not being a dick, i genuinely have no idea.
Does it vary by province like it does with states here?
So.......D PIC for short?Death Penalty Information Center
It doesn't matter if you understand it or not.I guess I can understand that from one perspective.
I think if a person has their spouse or child or parent murdered by someone or tortured, raped and murdered, not only might they enjoy watching the perpetrator die, they might want to be the one who kills them.I guess I can understand that from one perspective. In Canada we don't have the death penalty. Just looked it up: last execution was in 1962.
Well as an accredited and published Social Scientist, you should know.I think if a person has their spouse or child or parent murdered by someone or tortured, raped and murdered, not only might they enjoy watching the perpetrator die, they might want to be the one who kills them.
As far as execution being a deterrent, people who are executed are certainly deterred. And anyway, the research you cite is seriously flawed. The only reason that research doesn't show that it is overwhelmingly a deterrent is because thanks to liberals whining about the death penalty there is actually very little to fear from being given a death sentence. Almost none of the people given a death sentence are actually executed. And if they are it's decades later. It definitely deters people in places where it is swiftly carried out.
Don’t need to be a social scientist. Just someone who’s had friends and family murdered. To pretend some dick who gets published in some journal knows better than the people he’s actually proselytizing about is the epitome of retarded.Well as an accredited and published Social Scientist, you should know.
Wait. What? You say you're just some schlub who tells us he works in a shooting gallery ghetto?
Oh, ok. I'll ignore what you have to say then because, well, you don't know shit about the subject.
Jesus H.
Ya, anecdotes are science.Don’t need to be a social scientist. Just someone who’s had friends and family murdered. To pretend some dick who gets published in some journal knows better than the people he’s actually proselytizing about is the epitome of retarded.
