I thought it over quite a bit last night.

I hope the 75 aren't already spoken for.

Call Rudys in NYC right today and see what they can do, or any other dealer.

If you wait you will miss out.

better hurry up.

Rudy's says there are only a few left.

Just not going to happen. I don't have that kinda dough for just a preamp. Hell, I don't even have that for a head!

Aside from the rarity what makes these so desirable? The only reference I have to what it sounds like is some youtube vids of Poland but I don't really dig the tone  Anyone have clips or anything of it?

Edit* oops put in the wrong megadeth guitarist

Jerry Cantrell was/is also a user of the fish preamp. I believe he started using it post-Facelift (where he used a Bogner modified JCM 800 if I am correct).

Those the only 2 notable users I think of when I hear of the Fish, but there are so little out there its kind of hard to gauge what it sounds like due to lack of clips.

Rust in Peace by Megadeath was done with a FISH and Chris Poland uses one now with Ohm.

I'm still not convinced that's true.

I'm almost sure Marty was using a Triple Giant, possibly a, "1 in 25", true Bogner Triple Giant. and, apparently some kind of Tubeworks preamp thrown in there too. The '93 GW buyer's guide pro section said "BOGNER TRIPLE GIANT" for Marty Friedman. It didn't say anything about the Fish.

I've never seen any evidence that Marty or Dave ever played a Fish.

Anyways, the Fish didn't come out until after the RIP release date of 9-24-90

My band opened for AIC on the Facelift tour. Jerry had the Fish and a Mosvalve power amp w 4 Marshall 4-12's....His tone was ok....cool guy.
