Rust in Peace by Megadeath was done with a FISH and Chris Poland uses one now with Ohm.

Oops yeah I meant Chris Poland.. I don't think his tone is anything special from the youtube vids, but I've never heard one in RL so

Aside from the rarity what makes these so desirable? The only reference I have to what it sounds like is some of Glen Drovers youtube vids but I don't really dig his tone Anyone have clips or anything of it?

Jerry Cantrell was/is also a user of the fish preamp. I believe he started using it post-Facelift (where he used a Bogner modified JCM 800 if I am correct).

My band opened for AIC on the Facelift tour. Jerry had the Fish and a Mosvalve power amp w 4 Marshall 4-12's....His tone was ok....cool guy.

I'm pretty sure Michael Wilton of Queensryche was a Fish user @ one point.

I'll be completely shocked if many people don't claim the re-issues "don't sound as good" as the originals. (Whether they've played either one or not)
