Ok, so yeah I have it and it sounds freaking awesome with the MV and everything dimed but of course there is a problem....................the board inside aint stock. Not stock as it is a ptp replacement board and I need to sort through what exactly this board is laid out to be. The work was very clean so I know somebody either knew his shit or farmed it out to somebody that knew his shit. Trannies are original as is the headshell so I am holding back on calling the kid out, the amp does sound as it should, nasty, loose, and almost exploding.
So...I have most of the parts to a 1977 50 watter and it sounds like one with a ppimv installed. Going to send pics to several people so they can figure out what is up. No diode stuff is involved so just raw marshall.
More info to come and yeah boxer vid to come as well.

Did the guy tell you it was all original? It had obviously had a MV mod done. Its possible he did not know it had been changed if he wasent even sure wether or not it was a 50 watter when you initially spoke with him.... just sayin I would rather have the PTP board in there myself, but I would sure point out it had been changed when selling it. If it sounds good, it is good

I used to have the head that goes with that, jcm 800 2204 , 87' I believe maybe 86', it had the same grill cloth pattern with the gold piping, green tolex. And yes I kick myself for parting with it, it sounded awesome, it was such a good one, horizontal inputs-pots connected to the board- does'nt matter the thing Killed!
