Even a valve-driven loop circuit is still a concession.

Guitar in, maybe some clean mid-boost.
Your next interaction is the speaker output.
Let the amp do it’s thing throughout, with a clean, untreated guitar signal.
That’s what it’s designed for.

Anyway, this is what you need, and this ambient rack is supported with dedicated compressors, EQ’s, and a myriad of send/returns, midi VCA’s, and discreet relay switching - not to mention Moog CV/midi-controlled oscillators for modulation.
The Alex was a specific choice for it’s graininess. It is heavily EQ’d.

On the computer, I tend to use this for demo monitor mixes. But it in no way can rival the analogue feel of vintage 14-bit units from 1983.
