I think so. Less common. More money. I personally have always expected to pay a bit more on a rack.

Typically, over the years rack versions of Mesa Marks go for less $ from what I've seen. Since racks are a select user group, vs the early-mid 90s when they were all the rage.
Maybe that's changed lately?

Purples are generally the least sought after III (splitting hairs really). I'd say $2000-2500 really depending on condition and service history, as you can take any of the chassis and convert to a head / rack / combo easily.

It's not a big difference in price; since it's easy enough to get a head shell made to hold a rack amplifier. But, years back when I was C+ crazy I'd notice the rack versions going for a bit less.
