Fck'en A man... you guys are making this hard to not think about this amp :ROFLMAO: I'm going to do something stupid and test it out next week. I need to know how it sounds now. I didn't have a chance to fire it up the other day but now I feel like I have to or my soul will never rest lol. As some of you mentioned I was picturing myself pickup up a multi watt or something a little cheaper just to scratch that itch later on down the road... but the amp collector in me is now wanting this mfk'er

btw Happy New Years guys!

Definitely try before buying of course, but my prediction is you’ll want it for that orange channel. It’ll make those cool videos you make even better. Might even send a few stuff packing to make up for the high price. The multi-watt version imo is like a Tropicana equivalent to the the early Rev’s being the fresh squeezed version. My advice though would be to still keep the Uber if you can

Multi-watt is an absolute beast. Incredibly versatile, cleans, pushed and crushing. Deals on these can be found if you are patient.

Thanks guys for chiming in... I want a recto one day but man i'm not sure I'm ready spend $3500+ on one. But I guess that would be the one to get if I did. If he doesn't post it in on reverb then I have some time to think about it. The good news is that he is starting to let some of his personal stash go, I know he has quite a few 2c+ in stash as well but man. I guess in my head if I start paying close to 4k then I think I'd rather get a Wizard.
Hey @errrrrl, Happy New Year! If you decide against it, I'd love your local shop owner's contact information as I have been looking to acquire this amp for some time. Thank you!

The older two channels definitely have more of that special sauce, but don’t think for one second that Multi Watts aren’t killers as well. If you don’t have any experience with Rectos, set that one up with a clean boost, bass around 10 o’clock, gain/mids around noon, treble/presence around 2 o’clock and go from there. The Orange channel is much more raw and aggressive than Red. And play with the Tube/Diode switch on the back, it’s cool AF. Do this and I’ll be very surprised It you don’t bring it home. :D

If I don't grab it I'll ask him if he is open to selling it selling to the public. I know he sells from his stash every so often but he is all about selling it to someone he knows who would appreciate it which I totally get. But I can ask.

It's worth about $3000 +/- in the current market.

I look forward to your NAD demo... pick a good video to go with it!:yes::rock::rock:

I really appreciate it! This way, he'll net more without Reverb fees. Plus, maybe we can work something out where you can take it home first to make a demo video before he ships it out. ?

I have a few amps and honest the rev f is one of my fav. If you want pm me if it’s the right number and you buy it and don’t like it. I would love a backup. Black face chrome is legit.

I would buy it from you lol

It's hard to say right now. If it were posted to Reverb, someone might jump at $4k to be honest. The chrome chassis has always been a big draw. I just don't know.
I bought one new in 1992 and sold it in the early 2000's for less than a grand when I really needed the money. I am KICKING myself now. I always ran it with EL34's. I prefer my Friedman, but I would still love to have the Mesa too. I bought the matching 4x12 also with the chrome on the sides. It was a GREAT amp. Now that I am thinking about it, I sold the head and cabinet for less than a grand. I also sold my 50 watt 1987 Marshall Siver Jubilee head in the very early 90's for crap money because all my partying got me into a bad place at the time. Once I got things together again I bought the Mesa rig. I wish I could get a "do over" and also get my amps back. Please excuse me because I need to go puke.

There’s a good-looking chrome played cab on FB marketplace in Columbus, OH.
