Pride goes before a fall/You're asking for it: AC water leaked onto thousands of dollars of gear

No one ever told me those cautionary sayings were precursors to all kinds of skullduggery. I went to my music room in the morning this past Sunday and found there was water all over my stuff. The carpets on the floor were soaked.

The plug point where I had a bunch of stuff hooked up was hissing and fizzing and I luckily managed to turn it off. II frantically wiped everything down, expecting to find that a lot of it was toast. But surprisingly, everything seems to be okay, barring a Softness Console 1 Fader, which was full of water that flowed out like a waterfall when I turned it over.

It's a miracle. I figure that even if it happens again, I know exactly what I need to do.

I don't even know how it happened, usually if there is a blockage of the AC vent, there will be dripping happening over a prolonged period of time. However, the morning that it happened, there were four loud bangs from above my ceiling and the water apparently just poured out.

I don't know what the plan is, burn my wife's house down or something with us in it.

Quite sad at the thought that if I go, what will happen to my riffs? Probably all stolen and passed off as some rich a**ole's output.

Anyway the gear being used Is a Mayones Regius Core 6 into a Marshall JVM410H on the third channel orange mode. That's plugged into an Orange and a Mesa 2x12. Both have V30s. I have the Orange miced up with a Sennheiser E906 and I was running a Townsend Labs Sphere L22 for the room sound.
