I hate firearms/weapons but hey

Are you gay, a woman or those "new" type of men that uses face creams etc?

You just can't be a man if you hate firearms..we don't function that way. It's like saying you don't eat steak. :gethim:

Disregard..just saw some of your other posts..you're a young kid. Fucking laughing my ass off here because, heheh, man are you green!
    you're defenitely the new type bred by tv.

holy ignorance batman!

Say what you want, but guns don't kill people. People kill people.

And there are countries that actually may have a use for guns as protection. Like Finland (3rd country in the world with firearm per citizen percent). That is also one thing why even Russia would have trouble fighting with Finland. Army teaches you to shoot and use a weapon, but what use is that if you don't use these skills for years. But gun ranges and weapons give an oppurtunity to practice.
PS: I don't own any weapons and have shot only once...

By the way, it's a really cool assignment. You learn car design?

The M4/M16 isn't that great in the desert and in extremely harsh conditions.

I'd rather be gay than a redneck who thinks he's become a real man when he holds a firearm. Lemme guess. Are you married to your cousin?

See you're in the portion of people who not only I disagree with but also I wouldn't care if died this second. People can own guns all they want. As long as they don't make 50 retarded kids with their relatives like you probably do

Immature AND ridiculous.

You both need to grow up and stop being morons.

I'd like to read the stats from which your claim is based on. H&K is tested in all types of harsh conditions before released... mud, ice, sand, heat, cold, etc.

I'll try and look for some stats online myself as well, but I find it hard to believe the M4 is better than a H&K... maybe as good as, but certainly not better than. Again, stats will prove it...

Damn! I can use that scope shape for sure. It's VERY nice looking design thank you. I'll have to look into this one also!

I was under the impression the army was designing/has desinged new barrels for the M4 to reduce jams, increase life etc.. I guess I was wrong, my mistake

The problem isn't the barrel, but the gas chamber and the way it operates.

try this

Don't overlook the basic AK design. The AK is simply the most reliable military weapon of any design. Most of the planet's small arms combatants carry some variation of the Kalashnikov design. Custom competition rifle makers recently have begun incorporating the AK gas system in their weapons because of the extreme reliability and consistency of the AK gas system. There are many variations of the AK manufactured for military use, and several calibers. AK's get a poor reputation for accuracy, but most of the problem is usually real cheap ammo. I have AK's in 5.56 x 45 (.223, same as M-16) and 5.45 x 39 that are extremely accurate with good ammo. Custom guns can be had in .308 (7.62 x 51)

If your requirement is reliability in harsh battlefield conditions, then my number two choice would be M-14 style weapons. The M-14 design is basically an updated M1 Garand that can take a magazine. Garands and M-14 (M1A) rifles are my favorite to shoot. If you are interested, I could give you links to photos showing the M-14 in use today in Iraq and Afganistan. Very rugged, very reliable, very accurate. Hard hitting at long distances, it is being used as a squad sniper weapon.

I won't get into an argument over which firearm is better..it's like arguing which is better a Marshall or a Fender Twin they both do wonders in the right hands.

Also arguing over the net is for children so I say my piece and move on, if feelings get hurt then they needed to get hurt.

I'd take any FN made weapon like the mini (which is what most H&Ks are based on) over some H&Ks but that's not (anyone that knows about these type of firearms would know why so discussing it would be pointless and if i had to discuss it..that would tell me what type of person i was wasting my time with to begin with) because I think they're better. The point I was trying to make is that H&K is not even close as far as military use as the FN is. Specially in special operations but these usually come from those that "read" not those that "do" or "did". No one experienced with special operations will deny FN is the shit..as is H&K but the fact is H&K just "MAKES" and brands special ops weapons and they sell it as such. it doesn't mean they use all of the manufactured weapons in service or special operations. it's like some guitars co. have lines like the "pro" or "stage". it does NOT mean all pros use them.

As an example the most widely used pistol in special operations is...come on now? Hint..a hundred year old design by a certain Mr. Browning that still kicks more ass with more accuracy than any other brands. From Detchment 1 to Delta to even the FBIs HR Team, it still gets the job done well. Of course you don't read too much about this in the news or your pistol mags or see it in cool action flicks so not many are aware. It's why I say that people that praise H&K over the other exellent manufacturers are those that "read" or "watch tv shows" but not those that "did" or are "doing".

Enough of this bs anyways..this is a guitar/amp forum so I'll stop with this crap. I hate offtopic bs and this is going the "yum yum" route anyways.

Later!

Yeah the M-14 looks pretty unique! I'd appreciate those links

Biggest problem I have with the AK is that he said he wanted something modern looking. IMO, the only good looking AKs are the older style ones (either all wood, or wood w/ a side or underfolder). Great guns, but the "modernized" AKs just don't look right to me. I own both an SAR-1 and a custom built M4gery, so it's not like I'm taking sides here. Just my 2 cents.

I like the AA-12 myself. Not exactly an assault rifle but certainly all terrain.

Haha that looks pretty weird. No sense of proportion without the guy in there. Interesting. But I can't use it much. Not crazy looking enough. Too simple.. etc.

Here's a few of the M-14 in use in today's military...
