Happy New Year all!

Wanted to share a couple of product demo videos I shot this past week for Tech21 and Mogami cables.

seriously. great tone. great chops.

goddamn, videos like this make me think that "i'll magically be awesome" if i go buy the product.  i much prefer other hacks like myself butchering demos so that i feel better about my skillz.

Hehehe...I can relate!

What a great demo/clip! Wow Carl, you definitely have tone and chops.

you make the pedals sound amazing! solid chops.

ps-
i'll be your biggest fan if you can set up my tyler for 10's to play like 8's with your secret setup tricks gainfreak mentioned at NAMM!

Hey Carl, sounds great! Kind of creepy though, I was actually going to post asking about SansAmp pedals today and then you put these clips up :)

Sorry if this hijacks your thread, but the Sansamp pedals I've been curious about are the Tech 21 Character Series pedals, would you (or anyone else on the board reading this) have happened to play any of them yet? If so, what are your thoughts? This was the only related thread I could find using search:

http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=45101&hilit=tech+21+series

The one I'm most curious about is the VT Bass pedal...I've tried a few bass distortion pedals and have always been disappointed, my GT2 sounds better than anything else so far (including the sansamp bass driver, which had me puzzled) so any thoughts would be appreciated!

Cheers,
bigrig

So, what was the actual signal chain? I see that THREE Tech21 pedals are connected. Were all three pedals on at the same time? :D

I bought one of these for boosting my Mesa's. This pedal is awesome. Loads of character and tweak...

Steve

That VT bass pedal is awesome! I played at the Tech 21 booth also last year and I had a bass player with me. She used the VT bass and it sounded great!

Yes, the Tech21 pedal were run direct into a DI and into the MAC. I did have the Tech21 pedals dialed in with a bit more gain than on the Bines clips. I wanted a bit less compression (i.e. less gain) with the Bones clips as I wanted to exemplify for the dynamics of the cables.

What a great demo/clip! Wow Carl, you definitely have tone and chops.

Those Mogami Platinum cables are very good, I recently picked up a couple. The silent plug is great.

The Mogami Platinum is an amazing cable ... once I fianlly had a chance to A-B them, it was quite obvious ... amazing stuff.

If we hook up, i'd be glad to take a look at it. The Tyler's I've checked out were really nice ... Brad has my number.

Suhr Modern Guitar direct into pedals via Mogami cables, into a DI of an API preamp, into an Apogee Converter into the MAC.

Yes, all three pedals were on at the same time. The GT2 is an amp modeling pedal, from there I went in a delay (Boost D.L.A.), then a reverb pedal (Boost R.V.B) ...

I got to check them out briefly at last years NAMM ... my quick respone is that they are cool. I agree with Darren that they are not capable of getting as much gain at the GT2. Well ... maybe the California pedal. I do remember favoring the Liverpool pedal ... hope to spend a little more time playing them at this years NAMM.
