Hi there,

I'm a lucky french user of a vh4-s and i was asking myself if it is possible to program the send 2 pour all channels with 1 switch.

I explain.

I have a Tech 21 midi moose to control my vh4-s. I have some effect pedales plugged into the send 2 jack (with parralel returns).

The deal is that i want to activate the send 2 for 2 channels just with 1 switch (channel 1 for clean sounds and channel 4 for killing solos!!!).

When i try to programe this i must be on a channel and when i store (on midi-switch 1 )

Sorry if i'm not clear... I just want to have my send2 activated on the channel i'm using!!! FOr exemple i'm playing on channel 3, i push my midi switch 5 and send2 is activated. Or i'm playing on channel 1, i push my midi switch 5 and send2 is activated!!!!!

Thx if you can help me.

No ideas? Is anyone knows if its possible to do what i want?

Hi,

sorry - as far as i know, this is not possible at the moment.

If I understand correctly, you want to assign your send2 to one switch on your Midi Board and use this switch to toggle your FX on and off, regardless what preset you're in.

For this, you would need a Midi board that is able to send control changes (CC), and a amp that can receive and work with them (which Diezels can't do at the moment).

I've read in this Forum that there might be a solution for this some day (new midi chip software...)

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong

Hum ok... So the only way to have FX on my two channels is to program them on two switchs of my midi board...

This means i will use 4 switch for 2 channels:
-Switch 1 for clean sound on channel 1
-Switch 2 for clean sound + send2 (FX)
-Switch 3 for disto
-Switch 4 for disto + send 2 (FX)

My midi board has 5 switch. The last switch will be for the tuner and mute mode.

No more switch to use!!!

That's it?

yeah, i guess that's it. I use it the same way, but I have 10 preset switches on my board :D

Ok thx!!!
It will be cool if the amp could do this in the futur.
